Lay-by is a shopping agreement between you and Microbrand Watch Collective. It lets you choose product that you love, set it aside and pay for it over 3 or 6 months. There are no credit checks and no interest. We keep your selected items in our stockroom until you’ve paid the full amount, then we will deliver it to your door!
You must be 18 years or older. South African citizens need to bring along their ID book or ID card or driver’s license. Foreign Nationals will need to show their passport (sorry, no driver’s licenses!). You’ll also need to pay a minimum deposit of 10% of the full lay-by purchase price, the rest you can pay over 3 or 6 months.
After you pay the 10% deposit the remaining balance will be split into 3 or 6 equal payments which you will pay over 3 or 6 months. For example:
If your lay-by is R100, you’ll pay a 10% deposit of R10. This leaves R90 which will be split into 3 equal payments of R30 each. For 3 months you will pay R30 a month.
At the end of 3 months you would have paid the Deposit of R10 + Month 1 (R30) + Month 2 (R30) + Month 3 (R30) = R100
If a payment is missed -
After 14 days, the store will cancel your lay-by. You’ll get an SMS letting you know it’s cancelled, and that you can collect your refund from the store. The products that we had set aside for you will be put back in our stock.
